The Accounts Chamber assessed the progress of digitalization of Russian schools in 2016-2021. Among the positive changes, there was an increase in the number of schools with high-speed Internet and an increased level of their technical equipment. However, at the same time, the saturation of schools with technology is accompanied by a shortage of specialists capable of developing IT solutions, state auditors noted. Experts, commenting on the report of the joint venture, note that so far the digitalization of schools has caused rather a negative attitude of the majority of the pedagogical community, since it has not facilitated the work of teachers, but has increased the burden on them.
