The vivo brand is preparing to present its flagship phone in the mid-price segment in Russia. We are talking about the V29 model. The key feature of the new product is the development of the proprietary Aura portrait lighting, first implemented in the previous V27 series.
This is an LED ring integrated into the main camera unit. It ensures naturalness and quality of pictures, the developers explain. Depending on the ambient lighting, the smartphone automatically selects the brightness level and temperature of the original flash. In this case, the user can set the desired amount of luminous flux and shade of white using a virtual slider.
How much the updated Aura 2.0 in the vivo V29 series differs from the previous version can only be said after testing. The debut solution in the V27 model was most effective when shooting portraits. The feature turned out to be especially useful in twilight conditions, when daylight has already gone, but there is still time before complete darkness.
The second traditional feature of vivo products will be design. The brand has an impressive and, admittedly, successful experience in creating iridescence, mother-of-pearl, sparkles and other tricks with layers and materials of the back wall of devices. V29 will receive an anti-reflective coating with a velvety surface and exclusive photochromic glass. That is, when interacting with daylight, the shade will change. My children have sneakers with a similar effect – the six-year-olds are delighted.
Portrait mode with Aura lighting on the back is accompanied by a 50 MP main camera, 8 MP ultra-wide and a depth sensor. A 50 MP selfie camera with autofocus is responsible for the front portrait.
Engineers installed the Snapdragon 778G Plus chip in the device, a Full HD+ Amoled display with curved edges, 6.78 inches diagonal, HDR 10+ support and a frequency of up to 120 Hz. The autonomy of the device is ensured by a 4600 mAh battery and 80 W fast charging. Separately, it is worth noting the presence of dust and moisture protection of the IP68 standard, which is still rare for the middle segment. Officially, vivo V29 should appear in Russia in early October.
