Doctors warned that applying moisturizer to the face before going outside in the cold is fraught with unpleasant consequences for the skin. “The cream contains water, and it crystallizes in frost,” explained dermatologist Tatyana Egorova. In the end, it can even lead to frostbite.
To keep your skin in good condition, apply to your face in the evening, about three hours before going to bed. If you go to bed immediately after applying the cream, swelling may appear.
In addition, the dermatologist does not recommend using BB and CC face creams in cold weather. She is also against foundation, as it greatly clogs pores.
As for products, according to Tatyana Egorova, in winter, fatty foods must be present on the menu, for example, fish of the appropriate varieties, avocados and nuts. The dermatologist gave such recommendations on the air “Moscow Speaks”.
