Businessman Oleg Deripaska withdrew his claim against journalist Elizaveta Osetinskaya (recognized as a foreign agent) for the protection of honor and dignity, since she removed all disputed information from an interview with human rights activist Olga Romanova (recognized as a foreign agent). About it “Interfax” said the businessman’s lawyer Alexey Melnikov.

“During today’s meeting of the Tagansky District Court of Moscow, it turned out that Osetinskaya voluntarily deleted all the information we disputed. We believe that in this way Osetinskaya admitted the unreliability of the information she disseminated. In this regard, we have withdrawn the claims filed against her and have no further claims,” the lawyer said.

Oleg Deripaska filed lawsuit against Elizaveta Osetinskaya and Olga Romanova on July 24. As the lawyer explained, the businessman asked to invalidate and discredit his reputation the words of Olga Romanova in an interview that the businessman owns two private military companies that operate in the south of Ukraine.

As reported by Alexey Melnikov TASS, in relation to Olga Romanova, the claims have been expanded. Now Oleg Deripaska also intends to challenge her statements in an interview with journalist Katerina Gordeeva (recognized as a foreign agent), published a week ago. In an interview, the human rights activist called Oleg Deripaska “the main military man” in Russia, referring to the PMCs allegedly owned by him.

“We ask the court to recognize the information as untrue and oblige Romanova to publish a refutation on her Twitter account (social network X.— ”b”), and also impose a court fine on her if she does not do this voluntarily,” said Alexey Melnikov. The court hearing on this claim will be held on December 6.
