Deripaska urged to move to a market economy and abandon life “according to the rules”

Russian businessman Oleg Deripaska said that for the past 15 years, an “experiment” has been going on in the Russian Federation to introduce state capitalism. According to him, the country needs to come to the institutions of a free market economy, to act according to the law, and not “according to concepts.”

“And it seems to me that the time has come for him (state capitalism.— “b”) forget, turn the page and start a new normal life in a state that will live according to the law, and not according to concepts, with functioning institutions and a free market economy,” Mr. Deripaska wrote in his Telegram channelcommenting on the release of one of the American programs, which discussed the construction of state capitalism in the United States.

The businessman noted that the consequences of the economic policy pursued in Russia in recent years “are visible to the naked eye.” Back in early June, he said that the resources of the state are depleted, and therefore it is necessary to move to a supply-side economy. According to Oleg Deripaska, it should include trust between the state and business and a predictable policy.
