Boris Chernyshov, Vice Speaker of the State Duma from the Liberal Democratic Party, proposed to reduce the time for turning off hot water in the summer to three days. He sent a letter to the Minister of Construction and Housing of Russia Irek Fayzullin with a request to clarify whether there are restrictions that prevent the implementation of his initiative.
“Hot water in Moscow should be turned off for no more than three days! The year is 2023, but until now in most districts of Moscow, not to mention other cities, hot water is turned off for 10 days, ”Mr. Chernyshov told the agency “RIA News”.
The deputy is convinced that modern technologies allow carrying out annual repairs and preventive maintenance of water supply within three days. He offered to implement the proposal this summer. Mr. Chernyshov noted that Moscow should become a pioneer in the implementation of the initiative, as “the richest city in Russia with the best state of communal infrastructure.”
In a letter to Mr. Faizullin, the deputy, in particular, asked questions about whether there are restrictions on reducing the period of technical work, for example, in Moscow, and whether the Ministry of Construction has plans to reduce the period of water cuts.
