Vice Speaker of the State Duma Pyotr Tolstoy in his Telegram-channel said that a discussion had begun on the abolition of the Unified State Examination in Russia. According to the parliamentarian, this will be a step towards returning education “to the traditional national track.”
“Against the test system – and teachers, and parents of children, our voters,” – said Tolstoy.
At the same time, the deputy noted that if a decision is made to abolish the USE, the renunciation of the USE will be gradual.
At the same time, Tolstoy explained the resistance of Rosobrnadzor officials, who oppose the abolition of the Unified State Examination, by their unwillingness to part with “the police functions of training schoolchildren and their parents.”
Earlier, the head of Rosobrnadzor, Anzor Muzaev, said that the issue of canceling the Unified State Examination in connection with Russia’s withdrawal from the Bologna system is not currently being discussed.
