Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko instructed the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Economic Development to develop a draft government resolution to block the sale of illegal and expired medicines based on data from the labeling system.
The document must be developed before February 12, 2024. It is currently being studied by the federal executive authorities. The resolution is being developed with the aim of additional protection of consumer rights, reports RBC with a link to a copy of the document.
Changes in laws will eliminate the technical possibility of selling drugs stolen from medical institutions, Revaz Yusupov, deputy general director of the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies, explained to the publication. The press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade reported that they have already organized work to fulfill the order within the framework of the “Honest Sign” labeling system.
