Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Issues of Paternity, Maternity and Childhood Nina Ostanina (Communist Party of the Russian Federation) is confident that she will be able to convince the Ministry of Education to introduce the subject of family studies in schools from 2024. She noted that such a course is already taught in the school curriculum in 40 regions.
“We are confident that starting next year we will convince the Ministry of Education to make family science an independent subject,” said the deputy “RIA News”. According to her, the new subject will be taught using a single textbook, which will be prepared in 2024.
According to the deputy, it is necessary to talk about the importance of preserving the family from school years and preparing “young people for family life.”
Mrs. Ostanina proposed introducing family studies in all schools in Russia at the beginning of 2023.
