Deputy Ostanina admitted that she did not speak with the Deputy Minister of Defense about the postponement for fathers of large families

Nina Ostanina, head of the State Duma committee on family, women and children, said she had not spoken to Deputy Defense Minister Nikolai Pankov about delays from mobilization. Earlier, she reported, referring to a conversation with Mr. Pankov, that directives had been submitted to the General Staff to exempt fathers of children with disabilities from conscription. As Otsanina later explained, Deputy Andrei Kartapolov spoke with Nikolai Pankov.

“Neither yesterday nor today, neither the head of the mobilization department, nor Nikolai Alexandrovich Pankov were on special communications. Therefore, I called the chairman of the defense committee, Andrey Valeryevich Kartapolov … And on the basis of a conversation with Kartapolov, today I made this announcement … Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding, ”said Ms. Ostanina in a conversation with a media project Shot. This comment appeared after Nikolai Pankov declaredthat he did not call Mrs. Ostanina.

Previously Nina Ostanina in the Telegram channel informedthat the General Staff adopted in the directive the issue of exemption from mobilization of fathers of children with disabilities, as well as those with two children and a pregnant wife for a period of 22 weeks. She stated that this decision was made after she phoned Nikolai Pankov. According to her, in return, the Ministry of Defense was asked not to insist on the adoption of these amendments to the law until the end of the special operation. However, later the post of the deputy was edited. The new version of the publication says that Ms. Ostanina did not call Mr. Pankov.
