Nikolay Blagov, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Perm Territory from the LDPR, proposed creating a “board of shame” in the region with the names of the inhabitants of the region who left Russia during the period of mobilization.
“In our country, not one person, but several hundred thousand fled, showed themselves as cowards. Half the trouble is those who crossed the border of Kazakhstan and hide a little bit somewhere. There are also some people who signed documents on the border with Georgia in Upper Lars stating that they recognize our state as an aggressor. Of course, children are not responsible for their parents, but parents and relatives are also responsible for their children. Therefore, I hope the state will accept a partial loss of rights,” the parliamentarian said at the plenary session of the Legislative Assembly. “And in our region, I propose to take the initiative and make a board of honor and a board of shame. I would like the neighbors and all adults to know both those who betrayed us and those who shed blood for us,” added Nikolai Blagov.
Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Valery Sukhikh called this proposal a “difficult issue” and suggested that it be coordinated with the chairman of the operational power headquarters of the Perm Territory.
Partial mobilization was announced in Russia on 21 September. After that, there was a mass migration of Russian citizens to neighboring countries. The most popular destinations for migration were Kazakhstan, Georgia and Armenia. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, from September 17 to 26, 78,742 Russian citizens arrived in the country. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, after the announcement of partial mobilization in Russia, more than 200 thousand Russians entered the territory of Kazakhstan.
