Deputy Minister of Defense and members of the Public Council honored military builders in the DPR

A school was built in Mariupol and a nakhimovka building is being built

On the eve of the Builder’s Day, which is celebrated on the second Sunday of August, Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov, who oversees the military construction complex, and members of the Public Council under the Ministry of Defense, headed by the chairman of the council, editor-in-chief of MK Pavel Gusev, visited Mariupol at the facilities where they work military builders.

So, on September 1, classes will begin at a new school for 1,100 students, which was built at a rapid pace by military builders. Timur Ivanov, head of the DPR Denis Pushilin and Pavel Gusev inspected a three-story building with classrooms, laboratories for physics, biology, aeromodelling, labor and cybersports. The school has two large gyms, an assembly hall for 550 spectators, a canteen for 530 seats.

In addition, a stadium, a mini-football field, sports grounds and an obstacle course are equipped for schoolchildren.

Another facility under construction that will soon decorate Mariupol is a branch of the Nakhimov Naval School. It will be located on the coast of the Sea of ​​Azov. Military designers and architects of the 53rd Central Design Institute of the Russian Ministry of Defense worked on the project.

For future Nakhimov residents, a real high-tech temple of science is being erected. All buildings will be connected by covered walkways. Construction is going on around the clock, it is planned to hand over a socially important object in a year, by the beginning of the academic year 2024.

In addition to the usual classrooms and offices, Nakhimovka will have a chess club, a TV and photo studio, robotics laboratories, and a pool for testing underwater robots.

Thus, the fifth branch of the Nakhimov Naval School, located in St. Petersburg, will be opened in Mariupol. There are such branches in Vladivostok, Murmansk, Kaliningrad and Sevastopol.

After inspecting the construction sites, the Deputy Minister of Defense and members of the Public Council presented awards to distinguished employees of the Military Construction Complex of the Russian Ministry of Defense. Those who took part in the restoration of the civil infrastructure of Mariupol and other settlements of the DPR and other new regions.

Addressing the builders, Timur Ivanov said: “Often being under shelling, putting your life and health in direct danger, you continue to create for the benefit of our country.”

30 military builders received awards. The ceremony was held at the Monument to the Builders who participated in the restoration of the infrastructure of Mariupol.

Work on the restoration of Mariupol, which was seriously destroyed by the fire of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, began shortly after the liberation, in April 2022. Today the city is unrecognizable.

The head of the Public Council under the Ministry of Defense, Pavel Gusev, noted the dedication and dedication of military builders.
