The new rules for obtaining subpoenas to appear at the military registration and enlistment office will affect not only conscripts, but also all those liable for military service, said Andrey Kartapolov, chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee. He assured that mobilization in the country is not currently planned. Today, April 11, deputies consider amendmentswhich are supposed to legally equate electronic summonses to the military registration and enlistment offices with paper ones.
“Here we are talking about all those liable for military service, that is (the new rules will apply.— “b”) for all citizens who are in reserve,” Mr. Kartapolov told TASS. He assures that the new rules will not apply to the mobilized, because they are already serving. According to him, there is no mobilization now and is not planned.
Amendments to the law on military duty and military service relate to the digitalization of military records in the Russian Federation. Digital agendas are proposed to be sent to the account holder on the Gosuslug portal. From today there again function available deleting a profile. As part of digitalization, new measures are also envisaged in relation to evaders, including a possible ban on leaving the country, driving a car and obtaining bank loans.
