The system of formation of the mobilization reserve meets the needs facing Russia, said Colonel-General Andrey Kartapolov, head of the State Duma Defense Committee. At the same time, in his opinion, the country will not be able to manage only this reserve in a large-scale war. The Ministry of Defense does not disclose the size of the mobilization reserve of the Russian army.
“The reserve is intended for this, but everything will depend on the scale (potential.— “b”) conflicts. We will not be able to completely dispense with the mobilization reserve in the event of a large-scale war,” said Mr. Kartapolov RBC.
The mobilization reserve of the army is citizens who are in the reserve and have entered into a contract with the military unit to stay in the reserve. They continue to work in civilian positions, but must undergo military training and undergo military training once a year. Those who have signed a contract receive 12% of the salary for their position and military rank, a district coefficient and a percentage bonus for continuous stay in the reserve. When passing through military training, the reservist receives the salary of a military man.
Last week, State Duma Deputy Lieutenant-General Andrey Gurulev announced the need to increase the mobilization reserve in case Poland intervenes and to deter NATO from interfering in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. However, he pointed outthat does not see the prerequisites for the next stage of mobilization.
