Deputy head of the Pentagon Colin Kahl: Russia has already “lost” in Ukraine

US Deputy Secretary of Defense for Political Affairs Colin Kahl, during a speech at the NATO Youth Summit, said that it is now difficult to say in which direction the “war” in Ukraine will develop.
“But in general, it is already clear that Russia has lost in it,” Kahl said.
He explained that Russia was unable to gain control over the entire territory of Ukraine and was unable to weaken NATO.
Curiously, in the course of the same speech, he stated that the allocation of multibillion-dollar military aid to Ukraine “put pressure” on the US military-industrial complex.
The Pentagon spokesman’s statement about Russia’s “losing” came against the backdrop of an unsuccessful attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to launch an offensive in the Yuzhnodonets direction on June 4, as previously reported by the Russian Defense Ministry. The Kremlin has previously stressed that Russia must complete the special military operation.
