Deputy Gusev urged to remove goods from Ukraine from Russian stores

“The rubles that we pay to Ukrainian oligarchs are converted into ammunition, which they use to kill our fighters”

Dmitry Gusev, a member of the A Just Russia – For Truth faction, called for the removal of Ukrainian-made goods from Russian stores. The first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Control sent an appeal to Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov with a request to check domestic trading floors for the products of firms that are on the side of the Kyiv regime.

– The Russians do not want to buy the goods of the Ukrainian oligarchs, – said Dmitry Gusev. – The sale of goods by Ukrainian companies that support the Armed Forces of Ukraine caused a wide public response. Everyone understands that the rubles that we pay the Ukrainian oligarchs are converted into ammunition, which is used to kill our fighters.

Gusev recalled that earlier the largest Russian marketplaces promised to voluntarily stop selling sweets from the Roshen confectionery factory, owned by the ex-president of Nezalezhnaya Petro Poroshenko. However, there are no fewer Ukrainian goods on store shelves in Russia:

– My Duma mail and social networks receive a lot of appeals from indignant Russians. Ukrainian goods from companies supporting the Kiev regime are freely sold in Russia. For example, products under the Ugears trademark are sold in Russia. Its owners on their Ukrainian website express an anti-Russian position and support the nationalist formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And there are many such examples,” the parliamentarian said.

As Dmitry Gusev explained, such products are produced both in Ukraine and in Russia and the EAEU countries. Ukrainians hide their trademarks, production and trading assets under offshore schemes. At the same time, Russian retail chains are often unable to identify products of Ukrainian origin. And even more so, they cannot distinguish “good” Ukrainian companies from “bad” ones. The state can and should help them in this, – the politician is sure.

In his appeal, Gusev asked Denis Manturov to find out what is the share of Ukrainian goods on the Russian market. In addition, the deputy suggested creating a working group under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the purpose of which would be to develop effective measures to prevent the sale of such Ukrainian goods in Russia.

– The implementation of these measures should lead to a decrease in cash flows to Ukraine, reduce the resource base for financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine and will contribute to the establishment of peace and our early victory, – said Dmitry Gusev.
