Deputy Gurulev spoke about a possible second wave of mobilization

The military industry must reach the required volumes

Since the end of the partial mobilization of reservists for military service in October, talks about the so-called second wave of mobilization have not ceased in society. Some believe that it is about to begin. However, experts versed in military affairs do not think so.

Let me remind you that during partial mobilization, 318 thousand people were called up from the reserve. Of these, according to the latest data, less than 100 thousand are involved in hostilities in the special military operation zone. The remaining 150-200 thousand are still undergoing additional training and coordination at training grounds in the internal military districts, as well as in the NVO zone.

Problems were reported in equipping and arming the mobilized. At the very least, it was not without reason that the president instructed the Ministry of Defense to report to him by February 1 on how well the troops in the special military operation zone are armed and equipped. It must be understood that while these indicators are not up to par. And, therefore, it is not necessary to talk about the recruitment of more and more thousands of mobilized.

Thus, Andrey Gurulyov, a member of the State Duma Committee on Defense, is convinced that there are no prerequisites for a second wave of mobilization now. He stated this to the Chita.Ru publication.

“I do not see the need to carry out another stage of mobilization in the next six months,” the general said. “There are no prerequisites and conditions for this.”

The deputy gave arguments in favor of his version: “Even those who were mobilized earlier are not yet fully brought into the battle.”

In addition, according to him, “our industry must reach those milestones when it will be able to provide the next wave of mobilization.”

“My opinion is that in the next six months it (to conduct another mobilization. – “MK”) is simply inefficient to do,” the deputy said.
