The head of the LDPR faction in the State Duma, Leonid Slutsky, sent a draft law on the abolition of personal income tax (PIT) for those who earn less than 30 thousand rubles to the government for review. per month. In their opinion, the threshold of 30 thousand rubles. is optimal, as it is almost twice the minimum wage. The Liberal Democratic Party is convinced that the abolition of personal income tax for the selected category of citizens will allow them to increase the family budget, which will contribute to the economic growth of Russia, writes TASS with a link to the document.
If the draft law is adopted, it will enter into force on January 1, 2024. The financial and economic justification for the project states that its adoption will require additional budgetary funds. It is still impossible to determine their exact volume, since the number of citizens whose salary does not exceed 30 thousand rubles is unknown.
Now the personal income tax rate in the Russian Federation is 15% for those whose annual income exceeds 5 million rubles, for the rest – 13%.
