The government responds to the growth in demand for IT specialists by expanding educational programs
The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko published a message according to which the demand for IT personnel from Russian companies at the beginning of this year increased by 63% compared to the same period last year. At the same time, the government turned out to be ready for such a trend by opening training programs for relevant specialists.
“Demand for IT personnel among companies increased by 63% compared to last year. At the beginning of 2023, there are about 59,000 open IT vacancies in the domestic market,” the Deputy Prime Minister’s office noted.
At the same time, within the framework of the federal project “Personnel for the Digital Economy”, training in IT specialties has already been launched at the expense of the budget. At the same time, by 2024, it is planned to include at least 500 thousand people in training programs. For comparison: since 2019, a total of 343,000 people have become participants in the educational project.
