According to the price aggregator Price.ru, in the first quarter of 2023, the demand for online purchases of household appliances and furniture in Russia decreased by an average of 12% compared to the same period last year. In particular, demand for dishwashers, hoods, microwaves, hobs and ovens fell the most, with 33%, 22%, 30%, 38% and 32% respectively.
However, demand for some categories of household goods for the home, such as cleaning products, mirrors and light bulbs, increased by 18%, 19% and 15%, respectively. In addition, demand for tools increased by 15%, including tape measures, chainsaws, drills, workbenches, pliers and blowtorches.
Demand for home improvement and decoration goods fell by 5%, while demand for gardening equipment such as lawn mowers, ice axes and snow blowers fell by 30%, 32% and 51%, respectively. However, demand for power plants and generators, hoses, picks, and clippers increased by 14%, 8%, 13% and 14% respectively.
