From August 9 to 23, an increase in demand for testing from COVID-19 was recorded in Russian private clinics. During this period, medical laboratories reported an increase in popularity for antibody testing by 82%, for vaccination by 23%, and for PCR testing by 40%, according to the results of a TASS survey.

The agency interviewed representatives of the medical companies Medsi, Invitro and Gemotest. The popularity of certain services depends on the regions, the organizations specified. According to the medical director of Medsi Igor Semenyakin, vaccination is most in demand among residents of St. Petersburg, Moscow and the Moscow region. The greatest growth in demand for antibody tests is recorded in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug. In Vitro, they note that the demand for PCR testing has grown the most in Siberia and the Far East.

Today in Russia revealed 40,231 cases of COVID-19 infection – 29.9% more than the day before. Rospotrebnadzor recommended that “vulnerable categories of citizens” wear masks and advised the return of the mask regime to regions with high incidence rates.
