Defense Ministry: Russian Armed Forces repelled 16 attacks in Donetsk direction in a day

The Russian military repulsed 16 attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in several areas in the Donetsk direction, during the fighting, two enemy ammunition depots were destroyed. About it says in the daily report of the Ministry of Defense during the special operation.

“In the Donetsk direction, as a result of well-coordinated actions of the units of the “Southern” group of forces, 16 enemy attacks were successfully repelled per day in the areas of the settlements of Belogorovka of the LPR, Zaitsevo, Vesele, Krasnogorovka, Severnoe, Marinka and west of Kleshcheevka of the DPR. <...> Two ammunition depots of the 79th Airborne Assault Brigade and the 35th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed in the areas of the settlements of Paraskoviyivka and Razliv in the DPR.

In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched several attacks in the Krasnoliman direction. There, three attacks were stopped in the areas of the settlements of Nevskoye LPR and Grigorovka DPR. In addition, the activities of a group of saboteurs in the Kuzmino region of the LPR were suppressed. During the day, a tank and other equipment were destroyed. Also, the activities of three groups of saboteurs were suppressed in the Yuzhno-Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions.

On July 13, the Ministry of Defense also reported about repelling 16 attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk direction and three in the Krasnolimansky direction. July 12 their number was 30 and two attacks in each of the directions, respectively. Russian air defense systems also intercepted 11 HIMARS multiple rocket launchers during the day on July 13.

The military operation of Russia in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories, after holding referenda, became part of Russia.
