Decisive goal from his own: “Avangard” insultingly lost to “Dynamo” in Minsk

On Monday, September 5, HC Avangard lost away to Minsk Dynamo, and with a big difference – 3:6. It is interesting that Omsk player Dmitry Sokolov, who is on loan from Dynamo, made the score 4:3 in favor of the Minskers. Goals for the Siberians were scored by Bryukvin and Knight (twice).

On Monday, September 5, Omsk hockey players continued their first outing with a match in Minsk and lost to Dynamo 3:6 there. Thus, the defeat became the second, after the loss to Vityaz.

In the first period, the guests opened the scoring, when Bryukvin scored the majority. The Zubrs quickly bounced back, Paquette scored against them, his goal was counted by the referee after watching a video replay, which showed that everything was clean. Omsk were outnumbered and conceded again when Spooner caught Demchenko by surprise with a low shot.

Further, in one of the attacks after the transfer of Broadhurst to the far post, Tolchinsky almost abandoned. The hosts worked on counterattacks and again got a chance in the majority, but here Avangard fought back.

In the second half, the sides continued to score on the power play. In the 25th minute, after a combination involving Tkachev and Boucher, Knight succeeded with a throw into an empty net. Arseniy Gritsyuk’s unforced removal led to Spooner’s goal and again put the Omsk team in catch-up status. Then Gorbunov also scored against the Minskers – in the 31st minute. But the goal was canceled, the judges noticed a high stick in that episode.

Fedor Malykhin had a chance later in the game, but he failed to score. Finally, in the 35th minute, Knight equalized with a throw into the near corner – 3:3.

Nevertheless, in the third period, everything turned out not in favor of the ex-champions. Dmitry Sokolov, whom they loaned to Dynamo, already scored against Galimov (he came on during the meeting to replace Demchenko). The guests did not answer this, but the Dynamo scored twice more – 6:3. There are already goals on account of Merkli and Mosalev, both into an empty net.

Further, Avangard will play on September 7 with SKA also on its ice.
