Dean of the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University: professionals do not impose their opinion
[ad_1]
The journalism of opinions, and not the journalism of fact, now prevails in Russian reality. Elena Vartanova, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University, shared this vision of the situation at the MK press center.
According to Vartanova, this is a natural continuation of the Russian tradition, since since the time of Peter I, journalism as a special type of discussion has been in our first place. However, a journalist who gets too involved in the problem and gives out hot emotions can eventually slide into banal propaganda, and this is already the prerogative of the party press.
– It seems that it is better for journalists to turn more actively to the facts and to be interested in the opinion of experts, and not to demonstrate their personal position and point of view, – the dean emphasized.
