Daria Kasatkina won her first victory at the WTA Finals

Russian tennis player Daria Kasatkina beat the US athlete Corey Gauff in straight sets in the second round match of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Final Tournament. This is the first victory of a Russian athlete in this WTA tournament. The meeting lasted 1 hour 42 minutes and ended with the score 7:6 (8:6), 6:3.

Daria Kasatkina is ranked 8th in the Women’s Tennis Association ranking (2935 points). Corey Gauff has 3271 points and is in 4th place in the ranking.
The final WTA tournament has been held since 1972. This year the competitions are held in the American city of Fort Worth (Texas). They will end on November 7, the prize fund is $5 million.
