The blogger falsely complained that his income was only enough for food

The other day Danya Milokhin, who lives in Dubai, complained about unstable earnings and financial problems. “We have 700 thousand rubles a month. Like this. Yana has lived in Dubai for more than 13 years. The girl was surprised when she heard that, according to Dani Milokhin, 700 thousand rubles ($7,500) is a modest income and this amount is only enough for food.

“This is nonsense, for $7,500 you can live here like in paradise,” Yana is sure. “You’ll rent an apartment, buy a car on credit, and eat in the same restaurants.” For a normal life in Dubai, 3,000 dollars (280 thousand rubles) is enough for one person.

According to the interlocutor, with the blogger’s income you can not only eat, but also rent quite decent housing.

— Yes, housing has now tripled in price compared to two years ago, but still for 15 thousand dollars a year you can rent a one-room apartment in the prestigious Dubai Marina area on the shores of the Persian Gulf. True, if you immediately sign an annual contract. If you rent a furnished apartment in the center and pay monthly, it will be more expensive, around $3,000.

— You also have to pay for housing and communal services.

— Water and gas per month cost about $200 (18,600 rubles), again, it depends on the area. But mobile communications and Wi-Fi are expensive. The cheapest package for a month is 100 dollars (10 thousand rubles).

In Dubai, Danya Milokhin took up sports seriously. On social networks, the blogger often posts videos from the fitness club.

— There are gyms in Dubai to suit different budgets. You can find it for $70 a month, or you can find it for $1000,” says Yana. — But often in prestigious residential complexes there are free gyms for residents.

I ask Yana how much money is spent on groceries.

— If you go to mega-popular restaurants every day, then $7,000 can really only be enough for food, and even then it’s a stretch. For example, a check for two in one of the most popular restaurants is $1,000 for two. In regular restaurants, the average price of a dish is $20. In expensive establishments you can have lunch for $100.

But if you cook at home, you can save a lot.

— I think the prices in the supermarket don’t bother Milokhin. Meat 300 grams – 10-15 dollars (930-1400 rubles), milk – 2 dollars (186 rubles), bread – dollar (93 rubles), 100 g of cheese – 8 dollars (745 rubles), juice – 4 dollars (372 rubles ) per liter, fish 10-20 dollars (930-1860 rubles) per kilogram. We have expensive berries like strawberries and blueberries – 300 grams – 10 dollars (930 rubles). But there are cheap seasonal fruits and vegetables, about 3-5 dollars (280-465 rubles) per kilo.

Yana claims that $7,000 is the average salary in Dubai for a family of three.

— My colleague with such a salary can afford to have a non-working wife and child. And one person with such an income can live well and not deny himself anything.

– It turns out that Milokhin is being disingenuous when he hints that there is only enough money for food?

– Why, knowing his way of life, he is clearly telling the truth. In Dubai, no matter how much you earn, it always seems to be not enough. And if he also buys expensive things, then he really only has enough money for food. But, in any case, with such earnings it would be a shame for Milokhin to complain even in Dubai.
