Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev, world number one, said he would “love” to compete at the Paris Olympics if he is allowed to compete.
“When I arrived at the Olympics in Tokyo, I didn’t have any special feelings, I was just going to another tournament to play well and try. Russian athletes can only participate in the Olympics in a neutral status if they did not speak out in support of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine and were not associated with military and security forces.
Daniil Medvedev is 28 years old. At the Tokyo Olympics, he lost to the Spanish tennis player Pablo Carreno Busta in the quarter finals.
