Before I turned 30, before I consciously wanted a child, I had nine miscarriages in seven years. They were always provoked by me. I told my husband about them once or twice. In one case, my husband begged me to keep the child. In other cases, I told him about it only when it was already a fact.
“I had several powerful affairs with married men,” continues Borisova, “two or three in which the men with me cheated on their wives. What attracted me to them was financial assistance. Twice I informed men about abortion. One of them begged me not to do this, offered to give birth and promised all possible support. I didn’t tell the other seven about the pregnancy at all. I don’t feel any particular regret or guilt. I am sure that they will condemn me and say that I killed the children. Now I myself realized that it was a mistake. A terrible mistake.
