The damage caused to the Republic of Crimea by the rampant disaster is tentatively estimated at 490 million rubles. The head of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, Sergei Sadakliev, spoke about this on Tuesday, November 28.
The head of the local Ministry of Emergency Situations emphasized that not all information on the storm that hit the peninsula has been collected and processed to date, so the damage assessment could at least double – up to 1 billion rubles.
On November 27, the head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksenov presented to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin damage reportcaused to the region by bad weather. On the morning of November 28, 93 thousand Crimeans remained without electricity, and water supply was disrupted in 245 villages.
Meanwhile, in Sevastopol, the electricity supply interrupted by the storm has already been fully restored. At the same time, water flooded 137 houses, and the wind damaged the roofs of 105 buildings. The Dzhankoy district suffered the most.
Kremlin Speaker Dmitry Peskov noted that the president is receiving all the necessary information about what happened and has already given instructions to provide assistance to the victims and eliminate the consequences. At the same time, Putin does not yet plan to travel to Crimea personally.
