Abdulrashid Sadulayev, a two-time Olympic champion in freestyle wrestling from Dagestan, said he has no plans to switch to MMA or boxing. This statement was made in response to rumors about the athlete’s possible transition to these sports.

Sadulaev emphasized that his boxing and MMA training are part of his personal training program aimed at improving his self-defense skills. He added that he has no intention of using those skills outside of the training room.

“I’m not going to switch to boxing or MMA. I carry this around for myself in case it comes in handy on the street for self-defense. And so, I’m not going to knock anyone out,” Sadulayev said.

This statement by Sadulayev puts an end to long discussions about his possible transition to MMA or boxing. He emphasized that his main goal is to continue to represent Dagestan and Russia in the international freestyle wrestling arena.
