Dagestan dominates the North Caucasian Federal District Darts Championship

As part of the recently held North Caucasian Federal District Darts Championship in Pyatigorsk, the Dagestan team showed impressive results, winning 9 medals. This was a historic achievement for the team.
Meeting with the medalists, the Republic’s Minister of Sports, Sazhid Sazhidov, expressed his pride and congratulated the athletes on their success. In the individual competition among men, the Dagestanis took all the places on the podium. Firdusi Kasimov, who has been the leader for several years, became the champion. Aziz Azizov and Darbish Magomedov won silver and bronze medals, respectively.
In the men’s doubles competition the picture was repeated. Firdusi Kasimov and Omar Gadzhiev rose to the highest step of the podium. Aziz Azizov and Darbish Magomedov, as well as Artur Kazbekov and Dzhavatkhan Taimakhanov took second and third places.
Sazhidov wished the athletes success in their future performances. On March 28, the team will go to the Stavropol Territory for the Solnechnodolsk Cup. This tournament will be one of the stages of preparation for the Russian Championship, which will take place at the end of April in Moscow. The minister promised to provide the team with everything necessary before this important start and discussed other measures to support Dagestan darts, including the introduction of full-time coaches in those municipalities where darts is popular among the population.
