Czech authorities handed over crime boss from Georgia to Armenia

The law enforcement agencies of the Czech Republic handed over to the Armenian side a citizen of Georgia, a well-known “criminal authority”, who was wanted for serious crimes. According to the press service of the investigative committee of Armenia, this man and his accomplices threatened an Armenian citizen in 2016 and demanded 20 thousand dollars from him, threatening his family.
After that, the “criminal authority” was put on the wanted list, and the court in Yerevan decided to arrest him in absentia. Thanks to cooperation between the Czech Republic and Armenia, this criminal was discovered and detained on the territory of the republic. After carrying out the relevant legal processes, on June 30 he was delivered to Armenia.
The court decided to apply to the accused a measure of restraint in the form of arrest for a period of 1 month. The wanted criminal held a high position in the criminal hierarchy, and his detention is an important achievement in the fight against organized crime.
