CSKA acquired Chilean striker Victor Davila

CSKA has made one of the most interesting acquisitions among the clubs of the Russian Premier League (RPL) as part of the current summer transfer campaign. Chilean striker Victor Davila, recognized as the best player in the last season of the CONCACAF Champions League, a region that unites the countries of North and Central America, as well as the Caribbean, moved to the Moscow club from the Mexican Leon.

CSKA Moscow announced that 25-year-old Chilean Victor Davila will join him in the near future. In a statement The club says that “the procedure for buying out the player’s contract is currently being completed” from the Mexican club Leon, for which he has been playing since 2021, after which Davila, who has already arrived in Moscow, will sign an agreement with the army team.

In the case of Viktor Davila, this is one of the most curious signings made by Russian clubs during the summer transfer window. The short (height – just over 170 cm) striker, who played five matches for the Chile national team, has been repeatedly noted by experts specializing in the championships of Latin America for an interesting game that combines excellent speed with subtlety of decisions.

Thanks to his set of qualities, Davila can operate both in the position of a central striker and in the pull. The second role is playing along, exacerbating the situation of the forward, it seems to suit him better.
