“Crystal” from Sakhalin became the winner of the Far Eastern Federal District hockey championship

Hockey players of the island “Crystal” became the leaders of the championship of the Far Eastern Federal District in hockey among boys under 17 in the 2022/2023 season.
The second stage of the competition was held in Khabarovsk and brought together the three strongest teams from the Far East. In addition to Sakhalin, Khabarovsk “Amur” and Trans-Baikal “Chita” fought for the victory.
The first meeting “Crystal” held with “Amur” and lost the victory with a score of 1:5. Andrei Mishnev became the author of the only goal. This was the only defeat of the island hockey players in the tournament. In both games with Chita, the Sakhalin team won – 4:2 and 5:2. In the second meeting with the Khabarovsk team, Kristall took revenge and ended the match with a score of 5:4. Goals were scored by Egor Listvin, Artyom Leichenko, Ivan Oskorbin and Bogdan Paderin. The final goal was scored by Yegor Merkesov 14 seconds before the end of the match.
Thanks to the victory, the Sakhalin team won a ticket to the All-Russian final of the competition – the Russian championship in hockey among boys under 17 “U17 Champions Cup”. The event will be held in St. Petersburg from 9 to 18 May 2023.
