The intersection in New York was officially renamed in honor of Ukraine, the Daily Storm Telegram channel reports. It is specified that the intersection of Brighton Beach Avenue and Coney Island Avenue is now called the Ukrainian Way (eng. “Ukrainian Way”).
Brighton Beach gained fame as Little Odessa. The second name was given due to the fact that this place is inhabited by a large number of natives of Russia and other countries of Eastern Europe.
Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin signed a document renaming the area near the British Embassy in Moscow to Luhansk People’s Republic Square.
Also, the city now has a DPR square, which is located near the US embassy, as a result of which the diplomatic office received a new address and hid it from its website.
