At the moment, the record in the history of football is the agreement that was in force in 2017-2021 between Barcelona and Lionel Messi. According to him, the Argentine striker, taking into account all possible bonuses, could earn up to €555 million.

Achieving all the bonus points noted in such contracts almost never happens in practice, but at least in terms of potential income, Ronaldo can significantly surpass Messi.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a free agent. In the middle of November he gave interview channel TalkTV, in which he sharply criticized the leadership of Manchester United, for which he had been playing since last summer. In response, the club decided to abandon the striker’s services. Contract was terminated by agreement of the parties, so that the new club of the Portuguese will not pay compensation for him and can hire him as early as January, when the transfer window opens.

In the same interview, Cristiano Ronaldo said that in the summer of 2021 he could end up in Saudi Arabia, from where he received an offer of € 350 million (Marca sources believe that the Al-Hilal club, the main competitor of An-Nasr, tried to hire the striker ), but chose Manchester United because he was sure he could still achieve a lot in Europe. He also denied allegations that the top teams in Europe were not interested in him.

In fact, however, for example, Bayern, which was named among the likely employers of Cristiano Ronaldo after his departure from Manchester United, has already officially denied their interest in him. The Munich club’s general director Oliver Kahn said that signing a contract with Ronaldo is contrary to the club’s transfer policy. Nothing is known about interest in the Portuguese from other big clubs.
