Cristiano Ronaldo played with his hand against the fans

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) has opened a disciplinary investigation against the famous Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo. The reason was the behavior of the An-Nasr striker in the Saudi Arabian championship match against Al-Shabab. In this match – and it ended with a score of 3:2 in favor of An-Nasr – Cristiano Ronaldo scored a goal. But he was remembered not for this, but for the fact that he showed an obviously indecent gesture, or, more precisely, a series of progressive gestures towards Al-Shabaab fans. This is not the first time that Cristiano Ronaldo has gone beyond the bounds of decency.
The famous Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who, among other things, is also the most important asset of the Saudi Arabian championship, seems to have gotten into trouble. The match of the Saudi championship, in which al-Shabaab, located in the second ten of the championship, hosted Al-Nasr, fighting for the championship title, for which Cristiano Ronaldo plays, turned into a scandal.
The Portuguese opened the scoring in this match, but the opponent effectively snapped back, and in the end the guests won with a score of 3:2 thanks to Taliski’s goal (his second in this match) four minutes before the end of regular time. As the confrontation progressed, the home fans chanted “Messi, Messi!”, apparently wanting to unbalance Ronaldo. And they achieved their goal.
After the final whistle, the Portuguese gave vent to his emotions. He put his hand to his ear, and then made several forward movements with his right hand in the area of his groin area.
The incident was not captured by the cameras of the official broadcast of the match, but was captured on spectator cameras. Apparently, Ronaldo was trying to show al-Shabaab fans what he thinks about them.
It would be better if he didn’t do this. As Asharq Al-Awsat reported, the Saudi Football Federation opened a disciplinary case against the Portuguese. “The SAFF Disciplinary Committee will have to pass a very difficult test,” Waleed Al-Faraj, a well-known journalist and TV presenter in Saudi Arabia, said on Network X. “We’ll see how it ends. Everything has its limits, no matter how famous you are.”
This is not the first time that Cristiano Ronaldo has played in Saudi Arabia (for An-Nasr he plays from January 2023), demonstrates excessive emotionality, bordering on insulting others. For example, in April last year, while leaving the field at the end of a match in which his team lost to key rival Al-Hilal, he demonstratively grabbed his genitals. In early February, also after a meeting with Al-Hilal, on the way to the locker room he picked up a scarf with the colors of the rival team, stuffed it into his shorts, and then threw it away.
