Crimean hand-to-hand fighters performed successfully in Moscow

The Russian capital hosted the Sparrow Hills Open Championship in army hand-to-hand combat. The Crimean national team was represented by 10 athletes, 6 of whom returned home with medals.
Guys and girls performed in various age and weight categories. “Gold” went to Ivan Melnik, Lenur Alyadinov and Alexander Bravoy (all from Yevpatoria), as well as Veronika Ermilova from Yalta. Artem Kharitonov (from Yalta) and Ilyas Useinov (from Evpatoria) were content with “bronze”.
It was no coincidence that the Crimean medalists turned out to be residents of these two cities, because the national team of the republic included students from two sports clubs – “Bars” (Yalta) and “Asker” (Evpatoria).
