The federal law on credit holidays for mobilized citizens and contracted military personnel will also apply to volunteers. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank (CB) of Russia Alexei Guznov. The State Duma will consider the draft law today in the second and third readings.
“The third category of persons is what is called “volunteers”, who also conclude a special contract, a special amendment to the Labor Code was adopted yesterday about them, which made it possible to talk about expanding the circle of participants to whom this law can be extended,” he said. He also said that by the second reading of the bill, the circle of persons covered by this law had been more clearly structured. “If what was adopted in the first reading concerned the military personnel of the Ministry of Defense, then already during the discussion it was understood that it was necessary to include in this circle employees of other bodies and organizations who also take part in a special military operation,” he said. According to the deputy chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, this list will include employees of the National Guard, the Federal Security Service, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and other departments.

The co-author of the project, the chairman of the State Duma Committee on the financial market, Anatoly Aksakov (SRZP), said that the second reading of the bill contribute an amendment on the termination of credit obligations of a mobilized citizen in the event of a serious injury (in the original version, they are terminated only in the event of death). It was proposed to finance the measure by the banks themselves. The authors also propose extending credit holidays to those who are already participating in the CBO since February 24.
