After protests in memory of politician Alexei Navalny, the courts of Moscow and St. Petersburg opened administrative cases against 55 people. Of these, more than 40 received decisions on administrative arrest.
The United Press Service of the Courts of St. Petersburg reported in Telegram channelthat as of the evening of February 17, city courts brought administrative liability to more than 55 people under the article on organization, participation or public calls for participation in unauthorized actions (Part 1 of Article 20.2.2 of the Administrative Code). 42 detainees were arrested.
In the capital, only the Tverskoy Court of Moscow announced the number of detainees. On the evening of February 16, three people were detained at the Solovetsky Stone.
