Court in Tatarstan refuses to try blogger for LGBT propaganda

In Tatarstan, the world court of the Vakhitovsky judicial district of Kazan did not consider the case against the blogger Gela Gogishvili, who was charged under Part 2 of Art. 6.21.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (dissemination of information on non-traditional sexual relations among minors on the Internet). He was threatened with a fine of 100,000 to 200,000 rubles. The case of an administrative offense was returned to the police, it is said on portal world courts of the republic.
April 5 in Kazan detained bloggers – 23-year-old Russian Gelu Gogishvili and 21-year-old Chinese citizen, student of Kazan Federal University Xu Haoyang. They drew up administrative protocols. Young people blog on YouTube about their relationships. The police considered that minors could see the records.
Mr. Haoyang was convicted under part 4 of the same article because he is a foreigner. The Vakhitovsky District Court of Kazan appointed him seven days of administrative arrest, followed by forced expulsion from the Russian Federation. The Supreme Court of Tatarstan approved this decision. Now Xu Haoyang located in the temporary detention center for migrants in Naberezhnye Chelny.
Lawyers reported that there were many procedural violations in Mr. Haoyang’s case. The reasons why the world court did not consider the case of Gela Gogishvili are not indicated on the website of the court.
The blogger himself noted that “the police officer saw non-traditional sexual relations in the fact that two adult men are sitting next to each other against the background of a heart-shaped balloon.” In addition, in his opinion, the police incorrectly translated the titles of the videos on the YouTube channel from English. “All publications imputed to me contain the mark “18+” … It is completely incomprehensible to me from the materials of the case how the presence of minors was established,” the blogger noted.
