Court in Moscow transfers Marina Ovsyannikova to arrest in absentia

The Basmanny Court of Moscow changed in absentia the measure of restraint for the ex-editor of Channel One, Marina Ovsyannikova, from house arrest to detention. This was announced by her lawyer Dmitry Zakhvatov.
“Four hours of the life of a judge, investigator, prosecutor and lawyer were wasted on this court session, since the court order will not be executed in any case,” Dmitry Zakhvatov wrote in his Telegram channel.
In August, a criminal case was opened against Marina Ovsyannikova under the article on fakes about the Russian army (part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The court placed her under house arrest. Marina Ovsyannikova pleaded not guilty. In October it became knownthat she escaped from house arrest abroad, but where exactly is unknown. According to her lawyer, Marina Ovsyannikova is in a safe place.
