The Moscow Arbitration Court declared bankrupt the former deputy head of Rostourism Dmitry Amunets. The procedure for the sale of his property has been opened. Earlier, he was sentenced to seven years in the case of embezzlement from Mezhprombank for 29 billion rubles. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the file of arbitration cases.

The restructuring of the debts of Dmitry Amunts began in March at the request of Mezhprombank, which went bankrupt in 2010, represented by the Deposit Insurance Agency. Then Mezhprombank demanded 28.5 billion rubles from him.

Dmitry Amunts was sentenced to seven years in prison in 2017. As part of a civil lawsuit, the amount of damage was recovered from him – more than 28.5 billion rubles, and also the Porsche Cayenne belonging to the official and part of the house on Rublevskoye Highway were confiscated. At the moment, the ex-deputy head of Rostourism has satisfied the requirements in the amount of just over 26 million rubles.

The court found that in 2008-2009 Dmitry Amunts contributed to the theft of 29 billion rubles allocated to Mezhprombank by the Central Bank as an unsecured loan. The money was withdrawn to the accounts of firms, including those with nominee directors-employees of the private security company. The embezzlement scheme, according to the verdict, was developed by the owner of the bank, Sergei Pugachev. He is abroad.
