Council of Federation proposes to allow spending mother’s capital on sports sections – Kommersant

Andrey Kutepov, head of the Federation Council committee on economic policy, has drafted a bill that allows maternity capital to be spent to pay for sports sections for children, as well as for health insurance for a child up to one year old. A copy of the document is at the disposal of TASS.

The author of the bill, Andrey Kutepov, believes that his initiative will make it possible to pay for sports sections and circles for a child, which are often expensive. As stated in the explanatory note, the bill “will allow more children to engage in physical education and sports, which will make physical education and sports more accessible, including for large families.” On May 11, the document will be sent to the government for approval.

According to the bill, the mother’s capital funds can be spent on sports sections and clubs for both those born in the family and for adopted children. This applies to the first, second, third and subsequent children up to 18 years of age.

In addition, the bill proposes to allow spending mother’s capital on voluntary medical insurance for a child up to one year old, as well as on his medical care up to the same age.
