Cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin responded to accusations of “harassing” actress Yulia Peresild

“Ready to answer for every word!”

Pilot-cosmonaut Hero of Russia Fyodor Yurchikhin agreed through Moskovsky Komsomolets to respond in absentia to actress Yulia Peresild to an attack on him. The other day, she accused the astronaut of undeserved persecution directed at her.

The reason for the conflict was the initiative of the Russian Actors Guild to award Yulia Peresild the title of Hero of Russia for flying into space and shooting a feature film. At the same time, Yulia herself, as it became clear later, had nothing to do with this initiative. Against the proposal spoke out several Russian cosmonauts at once, including Elena Serova and Fedor Yurchikhin.

Peresild wrote a post in which she addressed “to all respected cosmonauts” and personally to Fyodor Yurchikhin: “Dear cosmonauts, and personally Fyodor Nikolaevich Yurchikhin and others, well, stop poisoning me already. It’s not good for the Heroes of Russia to undeservedly accuse a woman of all mortal sins for the 2nd year in a row … My respect for you and your exploits is immeasurable, and even the myriad of nasty things that you say about me will not change my attitude towards you.

Here is what Fedor Yurchikhin replied to this:

– Starting in 2021, I have made several comments about this project. I have always emphasized that it is necessary to popularize cosmonautics, including good films.

But these projects should be organized differently.
