We were ready, but it was difficult to play against them.
We didn’t move well enough when we had the ball. After the break, we changed something in defense, in attack we had a fresher player. We had a chance at the beginning of the second half, when Akhmetov did not use a great scoring opportunity. We then could score the second goal and logically complete the game, – said the mentor of Krasnodar.
The Serbian specialist praised the game of the Colombian bulls striker John Cordoba, who was recognized as the best player of the match in both rounds of the RPL. He scored the second goal against Sochi.
– John Cordoba saved a lot of balls, and it’s not so easy when you are opposed by three central defenders. It’s hard for anyone. He’s the best ball saver in the league. He scored a goal in this way: he kept the ball, pushed the opponent back, advanced and scored. And believe me, how many fouls are not given on John. This is not normal for me. In five situations, the referees must award four free throws, but give one. I’m not talking about today’s referee, but refereeing in general.
Vladimir Ivic also commented on the replacement of one of the Krasnodar leaders Alexander Chernikov in the 36th minute.
– Chernikov received a blow to the place that he had recently been operated on. At some point, his eyes blurred, but now he is fine.
On August 4, Krasnodar will host Paris Nizhny Novgorod in the 3rd round of the RPL.
