Copenhagen and Rangers secure their ticket to the group stage

On this last evening of qualifying for the group stage, Dynamo Zagreb, FC Copenhagen and Rangers managed to qualify.
End of suspense, (almost) all the contenders for the final victory of this Champions League 2022-2023 are now known. A few hours before the draw for the different groups (this Thursday at 6 p.m.), the last play-off matches have delivered their verdict. FC Copenhagen and Rangers have managed to overcome their opponents and will play the Champions League this season, Dynamo Zagreb and Bodo / Glimt face off in extra time.
The Danes of FC Copenhagen resisted the ardor of the Turks of Trabzonspor to maintain the advantage taken in the first leg (2-1). In a match with no real clear chances, Copenhagen settled for a goalless draw to advance to the group stage.
For the Rangers, the case will have been more complex. Against PSV Eindhoven, executioner of Monaco in the previous round, the Scots were solid in seeking victory on the lawn of the Dutch (0-1). After the first leg draw (2-2), Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men had no choice on Wednesday. In a lively encounter, Antonio Colak’s goal in the 60th minute on an error by the PSV defense was enough to delight the Scots. They will therefore be part of this Champions League 2022-2023.
For their part, Dynamo Zagreb and the Norwegians of Bodo / Glimt clash in extra time. After a first leg won by Bodo (1-0), the Zagreb players managed to turn the tide by winning 2-1 on Wednesday on their lawn. Not enough, however, to obtain direct qualification.
