Congressmen and senators urged Biden to transfer cluster munitions to Ukraine

Representatives of the “hawks” in the US Republican Party sent an official letter to President Joe Biden, in which they called for the start of deliveries of cluster munitions to Ukraine.
The letter was signed by the heads of the House Foreign Affairs Committees Michael McCall and the Armed Services Committee Mike Rogers, members of similar structures in the Senate Jim Rish and Roger Wickers. Congressmen and senators demanded that DPICM conventional dual-use ammunition be transferred to Ukraine.
The Republicans also expressed dissatisfaction with the unwillingness of the US administration to transfer to Ukraine the long-range weapons it needs, which would help the Armed Forces of Ukraine to make “operational breakthroughs.”
Russia has repeatedly opposed the supply of weapons by the West to Ukraine and called them a legitimate target for strikes by the Russian armed forces.
