Tennessee Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn has written to US President Joe Biden, demanding he immediately fire his national security adviser Jake Sullivan due to his “incompetence.” RIA Novosti reports this.
She accused Sullivan of misleading US authorities on security issues. Blackburn recalled that a week before the Hamas attack on Israel, Sullivan announced that the situation in the Middle East was “calmer than it has been in 20 years.”
Blackburn also recalled the large number of Israeli and US citizens who died. In her opinion, after taking office in 2021, Sullivan was also mistaken about the course towards Iran, which supposedly “empowered Tehran.”
