They wanted to listen to the Strauss-son’s orchestra everywhere – in Vienna, Paris, New York, St. Petersburg, Berlin. The beauty and endless variety of melodies, the ingenuity and wit of his dance pieces had an irresistible effect on any audience – from the inhabitants of the city outskirts to the famous musicians of the world. Two brothers, Josef and Eduard Strauss, also continued the family musical tradition. In collaboration with Josef, the most popular “Pizzicato Polka” appeared. More than 500 works were left by the eldest of the brothers Johann, about 300 belong to Joseph and Eduard.
Leading soloist of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia takes part in the concert Daria Zykova. She has a unique coloratura soprano, a voice of great range, which can be sonorous and bright or bewitching and sensual, depending on the piece being performed.
